Burt returns with commentary and stories

Burt has covered Hollywood for years, including writing columns for Los Angeles newspapers, screenplays for movies and television shows, and books.  He will be bringing his latest book, "THE STORY OF MY LIFE" which is a collection of interviews with greats like Groucho Marx, Jack Webb, George Kennedy, Billy Wilder, Stan Laurel, Jimmy Stewart, George Burns, and many more.  Burt always has a good story to tell.  He will also comment on some of the political events of the day, which are also printed in the Patriot Post.

Patriot Steve returns with an involved talk about why slavery was included in the original constitution, how it has been misrepresented for political purposes, and how new misrepresentations are guiding political events to the wrong ends.

This may be our last meeting of the year! Come and join us!

If California is to survive, we need to clean out the voting rolls.

Special Meeting: #1 New York Times Best Selling Author Larry Schweikart

Larry Schweikart is one of the greater historians of our time; he analyzes history from many perspectives, as opposed to pursuing a singular, political point of view.  One of his books, “A Patriot’s History of the United States”, was written to balance the narratives of history.  As a result, it became a New York Times #1 Best Seller, with over 300,000 copies sold.  He has written several movies and is the producer of “Rockin’ the Wall” (www.rockinthewallstudios.com) about rock music’s part in bringing down the Iron Curtain, and the new film, “Other Walls 2 Fall.”

Larry is also a genuine political insider, with friends in the president’s inner circle.  During his speech in May, Mr. Schweikart will also be delivering some information on the election of Donald Trump—stuff that you have not heard before.  He says it’s in his newest book, “How Trump Won,” which was released on February 27th.

We look forward to this event, which promises to be a wonderful and informative meeting.  Bring your friends along so they can be treated to one of the best presentations on history and politics our area has ever seen.

Rush Park Auditorium - 3001 Blume Drive, Los Alamitos, CA

Our Special Guest:

Best-Selling Author John L. Hancock!

Our special guest in March will be John Hancock (the living one), an author of two fine books about history.  One, “Liberty & Prosperity,” resulted in his being invited to London to meet some of the members of Parliament to discuss his work on Saxon history.

John has started a new series of talks that are designed to be given in pubs and ale houses, copying the events of early America when traveling experts would give presentations in various cities; hence the name “Liberty Untapped”  The pubs would give the speaker space and time if the attendees drank the house beer.  It was how our forefathers learned more about government, food storage, farming improvements and other important matters of the day.  So far, this system has been successful in California – and is growing!

Thursday’s subject will concern how some political groups wage a “Distortion of History,” a process designed to manipulate the thinking of our youngest citizens.  It is an informative talk, and important!

Let's Celebrate and Get Moving!
February 16th. 2017 - 7:00pm
Rush Park Auditorium, 3001 Blume Dr. Los Alamitos. (Rossmoor)

For our February meeting we are proud to have Susan Shelley as our keynote speaker.  She is an expert on Southern California politics and is one of the leading conservative columnists in California. She is a member of the editorial board of the Southern California News Group, eleven daily newspapers including the Los Angeles Daily News and the Orange County Register.

She was previously a candidate for the California Assembly, startling the political establishment by nearly winning a longshot special election after campaigning on economically conservative ideas in a liberal district.

Susan is the author of “How the First Amendment Came to Protect Topless Dancing,” a history of landmark Supreme Court decisions that changed the Constitution and the country. A collection of her columns on the 2016 presidential election, "How Trump Won," has just been published.
