Professor John Eastman, May 17, 7:05 PM

Tuesday, May 17, 2016  7:05 PM
Rush Park Auditorium  3001 Blume Dr.  Los Alamitos, CA

We are pleased to have Professor John Eastman speak to our group. He has argued before the Supreme Court of the United States and is a staple on Hugh Hewitt's radio show, which Hugh refers to as "the smart guys."

Professor Eastman will be discussing the case United States v. Texas, which argues that the President’s executive action extending amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants is a clear violation of separation of powers. Though the merits of the case are still being considered in federal district court in Texas, the Court is considering whether Texas has standing to bring the suit against the Department of Homeland Security.

Special Meeting

7PM - - THURSDAY, April 21, 2014
Rush Park Auditorium

Republican Thomas Del Baccaro

The seat being vacated by Barbara Boxer opens the field for her replacement. So far, Kamala Harris, California's Attorney General, and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez have announced their candidacy for the position.  Several Republicans are running as well.  Republican Thomas Del Beccaro has been very impressive in his run to represent California in the United States Senate, so we have asked him to speak before our group.

Tom will be talking to us about the water crisis in California, and how it has affected California Agriculture.
